The international film production company Stillking Films closed the co-production deal with EON Productions on the 21st 007 Screen Adventure called Casino Royale to shoot in the Czech Republic. Matthew Stillman and David Minkowski of Stillking Films act as local co-producers. The MGM/Columbia Pictures production begins shooting in January 2006 and is due for release worldwide on November 17, 2006. Most of the film will be shot in the Czech Republic with additional photography in the Bahamas, Italy and the UK.

“We are excited to be working with producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions on the new Bond picture and bringing the production to the Czech Republic. This is an important step for us as well as the local film community, said Matthew Stillman, Stillking Film’s  Managing Director.

Casino Royale reunites Wilson and Broccoli with Martin Campbell, who directed the 1995 Bond blockbuster Goldeneye. His most recent film, The Legend of Zorro, will be released on October 28, 2005. The screenplay based on famed author Ian Fleming’s first novel was written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and the script is currently being polished by Academy Award®-nominated writer, Paul Haggis (Million Dollar Baby). On Friday it was announced that Daniel Craig will play James Bond.

Daniel Craig (1968), one of Britain’s finest actors, has been cast in the role of the legendary British secret agent, James Bond, in this highly anticipated 007 adventure thriller. He has secured a variety of roles in television, theatre and film. He is currently filming a thriller alongside Nicole Kidman, The Visiting. He also has two films in post-production – Steven Spielberg’s Munich and Douglas McGrath’s Every Word Is True, co-starring Sandra Bullock and Gwyneth Paltrow.

“The principle photography of Casino Royale starts in the Czech Republic in January 2006 and will bring the production to various locations around Prague and Karlovy Vary during the six months shoot. However, the majority of shoot will take place at the renowned film studios at Barrandov and Modrany”, adds David Minkowski, Stillking Films Co-Producer and Head of Film Production.
