Farah Abou Kharroub is an award winning Palestinian director, writer, and producer who was born and raised in Lebanon.

She holds a BA in Filmmaking from the Lebanese University in Beirut (2014) and she is currently pursuing an MFA in film directing from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU).

Farah is currently a Showrunner and a Screenwriter for series that will be released on Shahid VIP in 2022. She was commissioned to direct and produce more than 50 TV episodes for MBC group with Coded Production, a Beirut based production house that she co-manages. In 2020 Coded Production established its European branch in Prague so it would be a connecting bridge between the Arab world and Europe. Farah also works in various productions with renowned Arab directors.

Farah was presented as a Producer under the spotlight in Cannes Marche du film 2020 for her feature film in development “The wind above the clouds”, and afterwards the script was selected for 16th SUNDANCE RAWI.

She is currently producing and directing her Creative Feature Documentary “They asked me to sue my mother” that was presented at IDFA’s Documentary showcase in 2020 by Palestine Film Institute. The Documentary is a co-production with Berlin based KOSMOS FILM.

Her short films are Nafas (2014), Florentina (2015), Summer 2006 (2018), The Seven Villages (2020) News from Lebanon (2021) and Wedding, Berlin (2022).

​Farah works with both fiction and non-fiction formats, and through her work she explores themes that are related to women’s rights, memory, identity, refugees, social inequality, corruption, and freedom.
