And that's not all - various regional grants and funds are another option for receiving financial support.
For such a relatively small country, the Czech Republic offers a high concentration of diverse and easily accessible filming locations. Discover the magnificent panoramas of royal cities, the atmosphere of industrial complexes, and the picturesque corners of the Czech countryside and villages. There are diverse buildings of all architectural styles and periods - from the Romanesque period to Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and even modern architecture. All this enables the Czech Republic to stand in for many other places and times - from medieval Europe to modern America. And you'll save money compared to renting original locations.
Foreign producers often come here only with the director, lead actors, and a few crew members, and hire all other professions and services locally. In addition to creative and technical specialists, these are primarily heads of individual production departments with entire teams, such as production designer, art director, costume designer, cameraman, and others. Beautifully crafted sets, costumes, vehicles, and weapons of various historical periods have proven themselves even in the most demanding period productions of all genres. The Czech stunt school and post-production services also have a great reputation.
Choose from a wide range of studios and ateliers that can handle any kind of production and offer excellent spaces for filming interiors and exteriors. You'll also get all the necessary backlot facilities - production, hair and makeup, wardrobe, costumes, camera and props, and catering.
We do our best to make sure that you can shoot here comfortably and safely at all times. We respond to any situation and work with various institutions and experts to develop analyses, manuals, and recommendations to make it easier for you.
