According to the Global Peace Index, the Czech Republic is the ninth safest country in the world.1

1. The Czech Republic is a member state of the European Union and NATO. It has its own army and is also part of the international defense alliance, which is the guarantor of security.

 

2. No armed conflict is taking place on the territory of any EU or NATO state.

 

3. Neither the EU nor NATO is at war with the Russian Federation, nor are they actively participating in the conflict which is taking place in Ukraine.

 

4. The Czech Republic has long held a position in the top ten safest countries in the world. According to the Global Peace Index, in 2021 it was in 9th place.

 

5. The Czech Republic is surrounded by other NATO countries: Slovakia, Poland, Germany, and Hungary.

 

6. According to foreign and Czech military experts, the Czech Republic remains a safe country for audiovisual production and foreign investment. The security situation is not expected to deteriorate.

 

7. The Czech Republic is part of the western cultural circle2 and is situated in the very center of Europe.

 

8. In addition to experts in various areas of security, the Czech Republic has specialists in the protection of mental health certified for audiovisual production. Crew members and actors can be sure that they will feel safe here.
